Springtime Bouquet Mixed Media painting

Flowers are starting to bloom everywhere! I have some Daffodil's and Crocus' that are stretching toward the sun and of course the rest of the garden is just begging to be raked free of leaves. I'm behind, of course and although there are certain aspects I love about gardening, leaves and weeds aren't one of them. Some friends of ours gave us some Monkey Grass about eight years ago, without telling us it was mutant, rapidly reproducing, take over your garden with roots to China Monkey Grass, and I am still digging it up every year :] I think that's why I haven't ventured out in the garden yet. So for now, I'll enjoy these.....no weeds, leaves or monkey grass!

Love it! And like I mentioned on your previous post, I'm loving the textured background! What a wonderful little piece to honor the arrival of Spring!

Have a wonderful week,

Holy Smokes you've been busy!! I normally prefer paintings with deer heads in them, but I do like your Springtime Bouquet. Nice work Kim!

Love these Kim. I am like you I hate weeds and leaves; we have a humungus oak tree (and until last week a beech tree) which shed their leaves incessantly in the autumn - I have just finished clearing the last of the leaves! Joy..NOT!!!
My daffodils are up and dancing in the breeze but for some reason this year they are all facing my neighbours house :( but they do add a splash of color x

Hi, Kim! Very cute painting! Love how you repeated a bit of the blue color in the vase itself. :-)

I love it, those textured backgrounds are so cool, I want to learn how to achieve that kind of thing! I need to take some of these on-line classes that I keep seeing on blogs I visit.
XoXo, Suzi

I hope to get my paws paintings finished soon to send on over!

Love the painting! A person can't help but smile when they look upon it. Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit. But I am not the holder of the Golden Egg. You must keep searching....
Happy Easter!
