Whew, I don't think I've ever used so much Modge Podge before! It's funny how different this piece looks at a distance and then up close. When you get up close you can see all the elements. I used lots of papers and text. I used "Amazing Grace" for the tree and then added a brown stain and heart shaped leaves from different papers. I wanted to leave the bird black and white so I just added three different shades of blue to the background and finished it off with beeswax. Doing this piece gave me lots of ideas for future works!
Thank you Susan and everyone! I used the matte Modge Podge Angie and a ton of it :] Which is why I like to cover it with beeswax because you can always see it with varnish. Hey Zan, I'd be happy to show how I apply beeswax. I don't really get mine smooth though, so I don't know if it's the right way or not!
I'm a proud mom of a couple of kids. My favorite time of the year is Fall. I live in blue jeans and boots. I love my family and friends. I love music and reading books and learning new things. I like giggling until I cry!...and baking cakes and chocolate chip cookies and snow...
I love to color and paint and sew and create!

Oooh, pretty, pretty! I love the end result and the color palette is so soothing! Did you use the gloss or matte Modge Podge?

Kimmie, as always--lovely. Haha, you should teach the beeswax technique--I've never done it and I think several artists said they'd be interested :)
I don't know what Modge Podge is... but I really like this. X
