Valentine ATC's

I have a couple of dolls drying so instead of cleaning I decided to do some Valentine ATC's instead. I have had a box of Victorian cards forever(and I actually found them) so I'm putting them to good use. Did some collage and some ribbon and glitter and all kinds of goodies. Beats cleaning any day!

My Funny Valentine

This is my funny Valentine whom my daughter christened Maria Valentina. She started out as a round head cloth doll but since my expertise with sewing on a round doll head is limited, she became a cloth and clay doll. (any suggestions on sewing on round heads is welcome!) She's fairly young but she also had a facelift. I ended up sculpting her face twice. So she's happy to be here!.......
Or maybe not so happy. She's a bit shy and she's not very fond of dressing up...hmmm. maybe it's the lipstick..

SNOW DAZE

This is what we woke up to this morning in Virginia. I'm usually pretty excited when it snows but there was a lot of ice mixed in with this batch. The kids were off from school of course, so my son had a blast! And they're off again tomorrow! They were off two days last week and this past Monday as well. Yay! I think Mr. Frog has more hair than I do. :]

My little Blue girl had the right idea!

Friend for Jingle the Crow

I've made a little progress on Mr. Man In The Moon. He fits nicely on Jingles back with his legs tucked around her wings. His arms and legs are button jointed so he can be posed. He's carrying a small garland of stars. Make sure you make a wish if he drops one while soaring through the sky!

Soon to be Man in the Moon

This little guy will eventually be Jingle the crow's new riding companion. He's made out of cloth and paper clay and I've sketched on his outfit. Hoping to get him painted this weekend.

Isabella & Jingle Crow!

Oh, I was so excited about Isabella and her crow Jingle! I wanted her to be able to ride on Jingle, but she is too big. So I will make a new companion for this trusty old crow! In the meantime they are cheesing for the camera.

Mademoiselle Eloise!

Ahhh, I actually did get to finish one of the three clay dolls I've had waiting to dry. She reminds me of a little French lady so I named her Eloise. I spent the good part of the day painting her eyes over and over. Next time I sculpt I'm going do the eyes and the lips a bit different than the way I've been doing them. I like the features to be a bit less prominent than the way I've been doing them and have more definition with paints and shading. Au Revoir!

I Feel Fabulous!

Thank you Hilary from Goldbuttonstudio for this wonderful award! I am so tickled! It is now my mission to list 5 of my addictions and then pass this wonderful award on to 5 more recipients, so here goes!

1. I'm addicted to creating. I think about painting or creating something ALL the time.

2. Peanut M&M's and chocolate chip cookies. I love to make a meal out of either one of them.

3. I love images of old, prim, whimsical things...dolls, Christmas images, etc.

4. I love feather boas!

5. I'm addicted to dollies!

Link

Now this is the hard part...picking ONLY 5 recipients of this Fabulous award! But here they are:

1. Carolines crafts
2. plain-n-simple
3.Adri's Art
4.Prim & Proper Folks
5.Susie McMahon Dolls

Have A Fabulous Day Everyone!

Painted Cloth Dollie

Happy New Year Everyone!
I have a few clay dollies that are drying so in the mean time I decided to make a cloth doll and paint her up! My son named her Ariel.
