Award and Doll GiveAway!

Good things can come in three's too right?! How about this beautiful award, my 100th blog post and a doll giveaway! My friend Michelle from The Studio at Crow Haven Farm
bestowed this beauty on me and The Byrum Spiritual Art Award means ..."You make a difference ... I know, because you have for me!"
Michelle is like a ray of sunshine who always brightens my day! Now I'm supposed to choose 5 others to pass this along to.....but I'm a slacker when it comes to this part because I always want to choose everyone :)......so maybe later??

Now since this is my 100th blog post I want to do a giveaway, and this poor little Star Weaver is stuck in my Etsy Shop instead of spreading stars in the sky. She needs to be free to spread some sparkle and tango with the moon. I made her during a workshop I took with JoAnna Pierotti of Moss Hill Studio
Her face is entirely hand painted including the little roses on her forehead and I adorned her with vintage lace. She's ready with her stars! (It would be wonderful if you could include JoAnna and Ron in your prayers as well. Ron just had a tumor removed from his head a week ago and is recovering in the hospital.)
So, if you'd like a chance to win this little lady just leave me a comment on this post and tell me....

if you had a chance to spend the day with anyone in the world, no matter who it is, famous or not, a politician, a rock star, someone from history, dead or alive., anyone at all..who would it be? And I'll use a magic hat to pick the winner next Wednesday the 27th.

I know I do keep Ron in my prayers...
I'm so glad you got this award... I gave it to Michelle and it was so hard to know what to do... all of the people I meet on blogs, like you, make a difference in my life!
I would love to have a star spreader in my home... I'm just not very lucky...

I'm glad I found you too : )
Star weavers are special characters that are often missed when looking into the nights sky... But every once in awhile... there's that extra little glimmer...

Count me in Kim! Shes so adorable, I would really love to win her and add her to my porcelin collection.Hah its funny like Pattee said Im not really lucky in winning anything either.Espeically on blogger, LOL.Lets see I answered a question somewhat like this not to long ago on a friends blog.I put down Mother Therese.I would of loved to have talked with her and asked how she had such enthusiasm for her work. How she stayed close to God but in the end what made her doubt him.

what a sweetheart she is!!! i love her!! this question is actually quite easy for me. despite the lure of famous people i admire like steve martin and stephen king i would pick my 31-year-old son matt. we don't get to spend a lot of time together due to distance but he is such a wonderful soul mate of mine. we would go fishing together and talk about music and art and then go out for a wonderful chinese dinner. we'd also hang out at the guitar center drooling over a vintage fender guitar. this is such a fun post!!

Well first of all you are so welcome for the award...and deserve it because you inspire and make a difference to a whole lot of people! So enjoy it! Second, the Found Object Doll that you created is absolutely beautiful and I would be honored to have her and take care of her here in the Studio... As for who I would like to spend the day with...this tough, because there are so many people on that list that is inside my head, however, it would be my Grandma Dot. She died when I was 5 years old and I have never forgotten her. I still talk to her everyday and miss her terribly. I know at 5..right what can a 5 year old remember...well, they remember more then you think they do. That is who I would like to spend one day with if I could! I hope you and your family have a beautiful sunny holiday weekend...I so did the sun dance and we are good to go until mid next week! LOL
Love ya
Cheers

Hi Kimmie! Aww, you defitely deserve the award and, YES, we LOVE Michelle, as well :D

Your little Star Spreader doll is wonderful! Hmmm...I hate to say it but any day with Mama trumps all of the "important" folks--I mean, this woman raised two crazy girls and survived! With her sense of humor intact, even! And she's supersweet and knows EVERYTHING, so I always want to spend time with her, when I can :)

Have a great weekend!

Congratulations on your 100th blog post and receiving the award. How wonderful it is that you took JoAnna's workshop, and what an adorable doll little Star Weaver is. JoAnna's blog is another that I follow and she and Ron are always in my thoughts and prayrs.

If I had the chance to spend a day with anyone I would spend it with God. There's so many unanswered questions I have and so many things I wonder about and would truly like to know and understand. Many years ago I dame to the realization that I truly wish I could sit down at the table with a pot of coffe or two and get the answers I seek. The world is full of marvels, wonders and mysteries topped with ugliness as well. I would love answers and explanations to it all from God himself....and I want to know "why?" and "why not?" to so many things.

Oh she is so sweet ~ what a generous give ~ a ~ way! This is such a tough question -if it's someone from history I would pick Artemisia Gentileschi (an amazing, pioneering post-Renaissance female artist who I adore and have read so may books about). If it's someone from my life that has passed on it would be my sister- so many unanswered ?'s. Love your amazing work ; ) X, Julie

That is so tough. Because there are many people I love whom I have lost.

I am going to pick my father. My Dad will be the person of the day.

By the way I laughed at your husband and doctor talking about golf.

Congratualations on your 100th post, total big deal. xoxoxo

If I could spend the day with anyone it would be my father. He passed away when my children were five and seven. He was a wonderful grandfather. I would like for him to know about them and their children.
