Green Eggs and Toast?

Mmmm...don't they look yummy? :) My very soon to be 8 year old son has a very limited choice in foods regardless of the "at least take a bite" rule before you decide you don't like it. I think the texture of the food matters a lot to him. Of course pizza is number one on the list(one of mine too!) french fries, peanut butter & jelly, chicken, yogurt ....and always chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast! He took a bite of my omelet the other day and now he likes eggs. So this morning it was an omelet for breakfast, but he wanted 'green eggs' so we through some food coloring in and voila.... I personally don't think I could handle the green, maybe blue or something, but hey !

Next we'll work on the ham. (perhaps a few veggies, if I can somehow make them invisible)

I don't get it. My child doesn't want to eat things that are naturally green, but put some food coloring in something & suddenly its fantastic!

You so totally rock. I love the green eggs. Hillarious.

Happy birthday to your baby. If you think he has horns now. Just wait.

Love Renee xoxo

p.s. one of my sisters has been staring at your blog and loves all that you do.

Dr. Seuss would be sooo proud! I love it! Well, not literally--the green color IS a bit strange for me to see! Hehee, but I think it's an ingenious way to get kids to eat their food! Ha!

I love it! Green eggs and ham,I remember it well a while back LOL.If he eats them its fabulous. Now with the veggies heres a piece of advice, add them to something or put a sauce over them.Dont demand he eats them set them on the table and ignore.I bet you see he trys them himself. My youngest daughter was that way,it worked really.

Food coloring makes everything wonderful right? :]
This kid doesn't let anything slide. I mean he notices everything-he even questioned me about the wee bit of pepper that were in his eggs.

You are so inventive. I would be 'which kind of cereal do you want.'

Hi, Kimmie! I love that you put in the food coloring. I know the words to Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham from memory, I've read it out loud so many times! You might try putting some chopped veggies in with the eggs and pureeing it a bit before you make the omelet ... harder to tell the veggies are there? Love the picture! :-)
