My favorite quote comes from a sports mantra that I have applied to my life for the last 6 years (even though I don't play sports); "You miss one hundred percent of the shots you don't take."
My favorite quote: "and so the lion fell in love with the lamb."
This was written by Guillaume Apollinaire:
"Come to the edge," he said.
They said, "We are afraid."
"Come to the edge," he said.
They came.
He pushed them.
And they flew.
How appropriate for artists.
My favorite quote: "I am part of all that I have met." Alfred Lord Tennyson
This quote makes me think before saying something that I don't want to be part of anyone that meets me!
I taught Creative and Critical Thinking Skills in our local public schools for many years. I always had the following quote across the white board at the front of the room. I think it's a very powerful way to look at ordinary things. It applies not only to problem solving and invention, but to every kind of ART. I don't know who said it...maybe I made it up. LOL
"See what everyone else sees BUT think what no one else thinks."
I honestly don't know who said this but whenever i was miserable as a kid my mother would say
" smile and the whole world smiles with you, cry and all you get is a wet face".
By the way love your colours in Posie Girl!!
Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Seek out that particular mental attribute which makes you feel most deeply and vitally alive, along with which comes the inner voice which says, "This is the real me," and when you have found that attitude, follow it.
William James
How generous of you, Kimmie! Your painting is beautiful. I'd love a chance to win it. Here's my quote..
"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."
— Helen Keller
My fav quote is a silly one:
Do not interfere in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and go good with ketchup.

Love your painting, very sweet.
I'd love to have my name added to your drawing / giveaway. I'm not sure who said this, but :

Hello Kimmie. Your site is wonderful! This journey Suzi started us on last summer has brought us to amazing places and everyday I am inspired and awed by what I see! In that spirit I have a quote that am not sure who said it but here goes: Trust in what you do know and not what in what you want others to think you know; for you are the sum of all who have come before you.
Hope your holidays are filled with many adventures. Catherine
And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin
Still round the corner there may wait,
A new road or a secret gate.

I have always loved Tolkein quotes. I think this one applies to us as artists b/c we often set out to create one thing, and end up with something completely different.
Your work is lovely.
