These started out as Valentines, but I think they can be used to represent love any time of the year! These are small (2.75X3.5) pieces of wood that I collaged and then painted. I painted the angels and then used a few vintage photos for the others....and the Pug is my dog Ozzie...he's a party boy! Added some gold glitter paint for sparkle and added some bows and some reclaimed hooks from old Christmas ornaments. Fun!
Today I choose little red shoes, but when I was a kid I so very badly wanted a pair of green Converse tennis shoes! I even tore up my own 'perfectly good shoes' in hopes of being able to get a pair. Alas, they didn't make them in my size.
This is a new piece I just finished. Mixed media on a 16X20 canvas. I've grown quite fond of her, but I think she will benefit CharityWings.org, who will be taking her to the Craft and Hobby Association convention at the end of January. Hopefully, she will help them to raise some moolah for all the good work they do!
I'm a proud mom of a couple of kids. My favorite time of the year is Fall. I live in blue jeans and boots. I love my family and friends. I love music and reading books and learning new things. I like giggling until I cry!...and baking cakes and chocolate chip cookies and snow...
I love to color and paint and sew and create!
